Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer, best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she acted on Broadway throughout a range of performances until 1957 when Li'lAbner went huge at the National Theater. In 1957, she also made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began beginning her Hollywood career in 1958, where she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's little Acre a dramatic film. The film was a massive success, and Louise won her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her next memorable role came from 1964, after she joined CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to do a fantastic job of juggling between Broadway and Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark, contrasting characters to the glamorous doll she was often portrayed. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she's been making a impression as a director for numerous popular television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Her birthplace was Essex on August 28th 1965. She and her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three in the following years, where she lived the majority of her childhood and teenage years. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has resided there ever since.
