Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine was raised and born from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam, Jazmine's mother, is a former back-up singer of Philadelphia International Records. As a child her father was appointed as curator for Strawberry Mansion Section. Strawberry Mansion Section. Her family then moved into the old structure. In 2005, she graduated from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts as singer-music major. Sullivan started singing in the school's choir as a contralto and then she joined the adult choir just a couple of years further on. He was exposed to secular music but was initially limited "I had solos singing in church and someone wanted me to join an evangelical label when I was 11 years old, but I wasn't yet ready," she recalls. "I was fortunate enough to be chosen for in a McDonald's competitionwhich gave youngsters from cities across the country the chance to sing 'Accept the things God allows'. The audience responded positively." Stevie Wonder sang her part for the birthday party of her son at the age of thirteen. Sullivan made her first signing with Jive Records when she was 15. In the age group of 15 She was signed by Jive Records. She made an entire album at Jive Records, however it didn't get released. Sullivan was ultimately eliminated at the hands of the company. Missy Elliott was the producer on several tracks that were on the album she released as her first. One of them was "Backstabbers" of Timbaland the track that Elliott created for Sullivan, was her top track.
